Introduction

SoLaw.com's web site is the creation of Christine A. Gilsinan, a lawyer with Russell, Tompkins and Gilsinan, LLC, of Webster Groves, Missouri. The web site is designed to provide helpful information to clients and fellow lawyers. Here you will find information and articles, hypertext-linked to helpful sources on the World Wide Web.

In 1999, SoLaw.com became a partner in Knowledge Management Seminars and opened a training center with PC workstations connected to the Internet via ADSL. Seminar information is available at this site and a Knowledge Management Seminars' site: http://www.knowledgeisus.com.

American Bar Association statistics show that 33% of all lawyers, and 46% of all lawyers in private practice are solos. The technology revolution over the last twenty years has leveled the playing field between big firms and solos. It began when personal computers and the services of Westlaw and Lexis became affordable to solos and continues with elaborate yet affordable trial technology, slide presentations, personal digital assistants, and on. For information about just how much the playing field has been leveled, and a discussion of how technology has changed the practice of law, visit the American Bar Association's annual TechShow page. That pages and its links speak more than a thousand words.
